About Me

I am an experienced small animal veterinarian and lifelong horse woman. Having grown up in the Adelaide Hills surrounded by animals I always knew animals would be a big part of my life and career. Horses in particular have always been a very big passion for me and I have always had very close relationships with my horses.

Throughout vet school I always thought about working with horses but a lot of what I saw of the way horses were treated didn’t sit right with me. Horses were being medicated and injected in order to keep them performing, with little emphasis on the long term health and career of the individual horses. I made the decision not to go into horse medicine at this point in my career, as I wanted to do things differently but didn’t see a clear path of how to do this.

I continued to fulfil my passion for horses as a side hobby until, as often is the case with vets, I got a horse with some interesting physical issues. This led me down many paths of exploration in order to try to help her. I studied and explored barefoot hoof trimming, positive reinforcement, intrinsic motivation and pain science, and equine bodywork and massage.

Along this journey I came across the thing that has made the single biggest difference and improvement in my mare: Balance Through Movement Method™ (BTMM) and Lazaris Nerve Release Technique™. Finding this method and seeing not only the massive changes in my own horses, but horses all over the world, ignited a passion in me to pursue equine bodywork as a career. In 2023 I became a certified Lazaris Nerve Release Technique™ practitioner and now provide equine bodywork sessions, incorporating this technique, to horses in the Adelaide Hills and surrounds.

I am passionate about helping all horses and owners, from backyard lawnmowers to high level competition horses and everyone in between. I believe all horses have the right to be comfortable in their bodies.
